Titan Hold ‘Em Tournament!

The Traverse City West Athletic Boosters will host a Texas Hold’em poker tournament on Saturday, May 5th @ Timberlee Resort with all proceeds going to benefit the TC West Athletic Boosters & individual Titan teams chosen by each player.

Tournament Details:

• $60 Initial Buy-in with a $20 re-buy after the first hour.
• There will be 2 blackjack tables, additional hold ‘em tables & possibly a roulette & craps table for participants knocked out of the tournament early.
• Cash bar & full menu available.
• 50/50 raffle.
• Must be 18 or older to participate.

Tournament Prizes are as follows:

• First place winner will have a choice of $1000 cash, or a seat in the upcoming World Series of Poker satellite event---value $330--- held @ Leelanau Sands Casino on June 2, 2007. The winner of the WSOP event @ Leelanau Sands will win a WSOP package worth approx $13,000 which includes travel expenses & a $10,000 buy-in at the WSOP in Las Vegas.
• Second place winner will receive the unclaimed prize listed above.
• Places 3rd thru 10th will receive cash prizes as yet to be determined.
• There will be a maximum of 3 winners drawn from pre-registrants who will win their initial buy-in.
• Pre-Registration payment must be received by April 24th in order to qualify for buy-in drawing.

The purpose of this event is to help Titan Athletic teams raise funds to offset their costs. As an added incentive, 90% of all profits---after expenses---will be passed directly on to the Titan sports team chosen by each participant. It is expected that if we have 150 players, we can raise roughly $12,000 for Titan sports teams. The team incentive will work as follows:

• Each participant upon sign in will designate a Titan team they wish to support—girls basketball, football, wrestling, etc. At the end of the event, after all expenses are paid & the TC West Athletic Boosters receives 10% of the proceeds, the remaining funds will be split among the participating teams. If Football brings in 50% of the tournament participants, then the football team account will receive 50% of the remaining funds. The event is open to all teams & Timberlee has the ability to hold over 225 players. Coaches & parents---this is a great opportunity to have some fun & to raise funds for your program that can be used for equipment, uniforms & transportation costs.
• Volunteers are needed to help co-ordinate & run the event.
